BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2010

Present: Chairman Eddy Moore, Vice Chairman Ed Boynton, Selectman Ron Bolt, and Assessing Clerk Amy Hatfield.

Chairman Moore called the Board of Assessors to Order at 3:00 PM.

Amy Hatfield reviewed the following abatements to the Board for their approval:

Damus & Lois Champagne, 85 Carleton Street, Tax Map 80-276, Sewer Abatement $181.29.
The owner is requesting an abatement on the 2009-second issue sewer bill. The owner had a leak outside of the house and was found and fixed in September of 2009. The actual water did not go into the sewer system. The amount of the abatement is $181.29 and will be reimbursed in the form of a check. Ron Bolt made the motion to approve the above abatement. Ed Boynton seconded the motion. Motion to approve passed 3-0.

Edward Aldrich, 78 Badger Street, Tax Map 96-3, Tax Year 2009, $76.58.
The owner is requesting an abatement on the interest from the first issue property tax bill. The owner said he never received the bill and paid the 2009 taxes in December. Ron Bolt made the motion to approve the above abatement request with the condition that a letter be sent to the owners advising them of the dates the first issue and second issue tax bills are due. Ed Boynton seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0.

White Mountain Christian Church, Tax Map 80-218, Tax Year 2007 & 2008, $1293.35 for 2007 and $7,491.06 for 2008. This abatement is an administrative correction and will clear the account. Ron Bolt made the motion to approve the administrative correction. Ed Boynton seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0.

Ed Boynton made the motion to adjourn at 3:30 PM. Ron Bolt seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0.

The Littleton Board of Selectmen meets the 2nd Monday and the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 PM at the Littleton Community House - Heald Room.
