BOARD OF SELECTMEN'S MEETING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2010

Present: Chairman Eddy Moore, Vice Chairman Ed Boynton, Selectman Ron Bolt, Town Manager Chuck Connell, Executive Secretary Ceil Stubbings


Others Present: Bob O'Conner Channel 2, Tony Ilacqua, T. J. Ilacqua, Mrs. Ilacqua, Mary Daly, Jim Daly, Mary Edick, Jan Edick, Alison Bolt, Paul Vialle WLTN, Members of the FBLA, Art Tighe, Robert Blechl from the Caledonian, Chad Stearns, Art McGrath from the Courier, Carl Hilgenberg, Steve LaFrance, Jim McMann from Horizon Engineering, Jim Alden, Marghie Seymour, Police Chief Paul Smith, Kim DeLutis, and Bill Sencabaugh.

Chairman Moore called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM.

Pledge of Allegiance

Employee of the Year
Chairman Moore said they would be going out of the order of the agenda to recognize the
Employee of the Year. This year the employee of the year is Tony Ilacqua. Tony was presented with a plaque and a check of $500.00 for the award. Tony said his department is a team effort. The four other members deserve all the credit in the world. The other is the people who come in to recycle. Tony thanked everyone for their support of the Transfer Station. Connell said that Tony was nominated by many not only for his work at the Transfer Station but for all of his help throughout the community. It is due to his efforts out of the transfer station that also contributed to his being selected.

Proclamations:

Chairman Moore then moved onto the Proclamation of the FBLA. Bolt read the proclamation and asked when is their next fundraiser. Tyler Ash said their next fundraiser is February 16th. It is a spaghetti dinner and jewelry sale. Bolt jokingly said please tell me it is not at the cafeteria. Tyler said yes that's what you feed us. This resulted in quite a few giggles and laughs. Bolt then asked about FBLA'S. He was advised it was the idea is that money that is spent locally circulates throughout the community numerous times. We want to make people aware of the benefits of that and how it puts money in our pockets. Bolt thanked Erica Antonucci, Tyler Ash and Callie Lavoie.

Littleton has functioned as a Board of Selectmen/Town Manager form of government since 1976.

The Littleton Board of Selectmen meets the 2nd Monday and the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 PM at the Littleton Community House - Heald Room.

If you would like to be put on the agenda for an upcoming Selectmen's meeting, please contact Ceil Stubbings. Please be prepared with all information needed for the Selectmen to make a decision no later than the Friday before the Selectmen's meeting
