BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2010
3:00 PM
LITTLETON TOWN OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM

Present: Chairman Ron Bolt, Vice Chairman Ed Boynton, Selectman Marghie Seymour, and Executive Secretary Ceil Stubbings

Seymour made the motion to go into a Nonpublic Session per RSA 91-A:3, II (a) to discuss a personnel issue and contract negotiations. Boynton second. A unanimous roll call vote was taken and the board entered into the nonpublic session at 3:33 PM.

Seymour told Connell the board wanted to discuss his counter proposal without him being present. The board then reviewed Connell’s counter offer dated October 24, 2010. Seymour said the board had offered to take out the residency clause in exchange for two years of the three he has left with the severance package. Seymour said Connell has offered to only give up a year and a half instead of two. Seymour said that from her perspective it does not give the board much of anything. Seymour felt they should talk more about the renegotiations. The board then discussed various negotiation strategies. Seymour said they should take the counter proposal under consideration but go back to Connell with a written proposal. The board agreed to have Seymour contact Jae Whitelaw to review and draft the written proposal.

Boynton made the motion to seal the minutes until an agreement has been reached. Seymour seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0 by a roll call vote. Seymour made the motion to come out of nonpublic session. Boynton seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. The public session reconvened at 5:57 PM. Bolt asked for a motion to adjourn. Seymour made the motion to adjourn. Boynton second. Motion passed 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 3:51 PM.
