Energy Conservation Committee Minutes Jun 10, 2015

LITTLETON ENERGY CONSERVATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF 10 JUNE 2015

Attendees: Arwen Mitton, Ron Bolt, Dann, and Mary Boulanger

Administrative Matters:

The minutes of the 13 May 2015 meeting were approved. Henri Wante has resigned from the committee. Henri will remain on email distribution and will be available for technical advice. With this resignation and the inactive status of Rodney Edwards, the committed has seven members. We need to recruit new members, ideally with some technical knowledge. Election of officers was deferred.

Strategic Energy Action Plan

An “outreach campaign” will be developed with the goal of encouraging the creation of news energy committees in North Country towns. This item was elevated to a medium priority. Ron will do some preliminary work on a presentation and contact one or more towns to determine level of interest.

Lighting Task Force

HB 208, as amended, passed the NH Senate and will next go to the committee of conference. It is not clear if this means Littleton will remain eligible for PUC rebates. This is critical if we are to consider a 2016 warrant article to complete the lighting upgrade.

Subcommittees

The old town highway garage has been demolished and construction of the new building is underway.

A Task Force comprising Peter, Dann, and Ron (others can join if an when available) will assume the task of periodic meetings with the department heads.

Other Business

Ron will schedule an appointment with the LW&L Commission

Next meeting: Wednesday, July 8th 2015, 9 AM, at the Community Center

Ron Bolt, Secretary
