Energy Conservation Committee Minutes Feb 11, 2015


Attendees: Arwen Mitton, Ron Bolt, Dann, Henri Wante, Bill. Peter Cooper, Mary Boulanger, and Greg Cook

Administrative Matters: The minutes of the 14 January 2015 meeting were approved. The committee agreed to participate in the April regional energy fair. At least Ron, Mary, and Henri are planning to attend the Local Energy Solutions Conference in March.

Lighting Task Force

Henri provided an update that indicated that general priorities for 2015 have been decided. Later today, Deb Kravitz from Ligh Tec will be here to finalize the lists for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Transfer Station, and Fire Station. She will also do the same for the Senior Center although that will be a separate rebate application. LighTec will provide the final list to the PUC for preapproval. After that, the Town will need to enter into a contract with LighTec.

Peter did an excellent job present the warrant article at the Deliberative Session. A letter to the editor is support of the warrant article will be submitted.

Greg reported that no immediate action is planned by the school district. Work by the Facility Committee continues toward developing a long-term plan for the campus.

Public Safety Subcommittee

Henri agreed to submit feedback on the performance of the NH Wood Energy Council grant feasibility study performed by Rick Handley.

A letter to the editor pointing out the energy efficiency aspects of the new garage construction plan will be submitted to the Courier prior to Town Meeting.
