BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING
WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 2015

TOWN OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM

Present: Town Manager Fred Moody, Chairman Marghie Seymour, Milton T. Bratz, Executive Secretary Ceil Stubbings, Paul McKenney (MRI)

Seymour called the meeting to order at 4:12 PM.

The board reviewed the following abatement requests:

Donald & Sharon Craigie, 97 South St., Map/Lot 84-87, 2014 Tax Year, $959.04 abatement amount plus any applicable interest. Bratz made the motion to approve the abatement. Seymour seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0.

Frank Porfido Jr., Clay Street, Map/Lot 78-161, 2014 Tax Year, $459.54 abatement amount plus any applicable interest. Bratz made the motion to approve the abatement. Seymour seconded the motion. Motion passed
2-0.

Stephen & Kathleen Lafrance, Clay Street, Map/Lot 78-156, 2015 Tax Year, $1,110.00 abatement amount plus any applicable interest. Bratz made the motion to approve the abatement. Seymour seconded the motion. Motion passed 2-0.

The board then approved one elderly exemption application. The board did not need to go into the below nonpublic session. The board exited the boat of assessors meeting at 4:24 PM.

RSA 91-A:3, II(c) Matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person, other than a member of this board, unless such person requests an open meeting. This exemption shall extend to include any application for assistance or tax abatement or waiver of a fee, fine or other levy, if based on inability to pay or poverty of the applicant.

Seymour asked for a motion to go into a nonpublic session per the following:
RSA 91-A:3, II(e) Consideration or negotiation of pending claims or litigation which has been threatened in writing or filed against this board or any subdivision thereof, or against any member thereof because of his or her membership therein, until the claim or litigation has been fully adjudicated or otherwise settled.
Bratz recused himself from the nonpublic session. Gilman made the motion to go into nonpublic session. Seymour seconded the motion. The board entered the nonpublic session at 4:34 PM. The board came out of the nonpublic session at 4:49 PM. Seymour noted the minutes were sealed. Seymour asked for a motion to adjourn. Gilman made the motion to adjourn. Seymour seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0. The meeting adjourned at 4:50 PM. The board then entered a non-meeting to confer with legal counsel at 4:51 PM
