Town Clerk's Office
The Town Clerk's Office is located at 125 Main Street (second floor of
the Bank of New Hampshire).
The Town Offices are handicapped accessible by elevator, located to the right as one enters the first set of doors from the bank parking lot. There is a set of stairs to the left for those that do not choose to use the elevator. The Town Clerk's Office does not accept debit or credit cards at this time.
As soon as you arrive at the second floor, the first office you see is the Town Clerk's Office.
The Littleton Town Clerk is an elected position for a term of 3 years. Judith Faye White is the Town Clerk and was first elected in March 1998. She is currently in her fifth term of office.
Belinda Larrivee is the Deputy Town Clerk. She was appointed in August 2013.

What do we do?
The Office of Town Clerk registers all automobiles and trailers for Littleton residents, except off road vehicles, motor scooters and mopeds. The Town Clerk is a Municipal Agent for the State. Thus, the Office issues plates, completes transfers and renewals on vehicles up to 26,000 lbs gvw.
The Office of Town Clerk guarantees the preservation, accurate issuance and retention of vital records.
The Office of Town Clerk files and preserves as required, all contracts, bonds, agreements, ordinance books and other Town documents.
The Town Clerk is keeper of all Town meeting, local Boards and Commissions minutes.
The Office of Town Clerk administers the "Oath of Office" to elected officials and appointees.

How do I research my family history?
You may request access to unrestricted records (births prior to 1901; deaths, marriages, and divorces prior to 1948) through the State of New Hampshire Bureau of Vital Records "Genealogy Center" which is located at 71 S. Fruit Street, Concord, NH. It is open to the public from 8:30 - 11:45 and 12:15 - 4:00 Monday through Friday (except on Wednesday when the vault closes early at 3:30). Volunteers will help you do the research. If you have any questions for the Bureau, please contact them directly at 603-271-4650.
Do I need to license my dog?
Any dog that resides in the Town of Littleton needs to be licensed at our office. To license your dog, you will need to come into our office or complete the Dog License Application and mail the required information listed. Dog licenses are due to be renewed by April 30th of each year.
How do I get a copy of my marriage license?
Please complete the Marriage Certificate Application and return it to the Town Clerk's Office.
How do I get a copy of a death certificate?
Please complete the Death Certificate Application and return it to the Town Clerk's Office.
How can I get an absentee ballot?
If you are a registered voter in Littleton and qualify as an absentee voter, please fill out the following forms for school and town ballots. You will need to fill out both forms to receive both ballots.
