Ammonoosuc River Local Advisory Committee

The Ammonoosuc River LAC had its first meeting, as an organized group in January 2008. Members of the committee represent seven river corridor towns: Haverhill, Bath, Landaff, Lisbon, Littleton, Bethlehem and Carroll. The Rivers Management and Protection Act of 1988 (RSA 483) established the Rivers Management and Protection Program, which brought about state designation of significant rivers, protection of instream values and local develop0ment and adoption of river corridor management plans. Members of the Committee are appointed by the Commissioner of the NHDES upon receipt of the name of the nominee from the local town government. The committee meets the first Wednesday of every month from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Littleton Area Senior Center, 77 Riverglen Road, Littleton.
