Dog Park Committee Meeting

In attendance: Sue Pilotte, Kaela Ray, Penny, Ed, Jim McMahon, Rich Larcom, Nancy Cooper

Rich Larcom and Nancy Cooper joined us from Above The Notch Humane Society. We discussed joining forces and helping to get a warrant article submitted to the select board.

Jim contacted DES in regards to landfill restrictions. Current gas levels are undetectable by the readers. Possible concerns are how to secure a fence, would there by any odors, and could we plant trees or brush. Pros are parking already in place, river as water source nearby, possibilities for future growth and walking paths. Plenty of space for benches, agility equipment, potential water fountains and or bathing stations. 

Could benches be made by Littleton Vocational building class?

Penny is talk to Liitleton's Destination Imagination to help come up with design and ideas.

Sue, Rich and/or Jim to go to DES in Concord to look at landfill plans.

Other locations discussed are the end of Lafayette by Littleton Water & Light and Bridge St in the River District.
