"Chairman Charlie Ryan is looking for one or more alternate members to the Littleton Planning Board. Acting as an alternate gives the member the opportunity to learn about and occasionally participate in the Planning Board. Alternate members are well positioned to be appointed to full member status as vacancies become available. Interested parties should contact Joanna Ray (444-3996, Ext 27). Chairman Ryan will make the nominations that will be approved by the Board of Selectmen.
A brief description of the duties follows:
PLANNING BOARD – PERFORMS A VARIETY OF FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES INCLUDING UPDATING THE TOWN’S MASTER PLAN; DEVELOPING A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM, ADOPTING SUBDIVISION, SITE PLAN REVIEW, DRIVEWAY REGULATIONS, AND PROPOSING NEW ZONING ORDINANCES."
"Chairman Charlie Ryan is looking for an individual to represent the town of Littleton at the North Country Council. The representative will fill the expiring term of Mr. Bill Ernst from now until 2012. Interested parties should contact Joanna Ray (444-3996 ext. 27). Chairman Ryan will review candidates and select a nominee for appointment by the Board of Selectmen. Candidates must be a resident of Littleton.
Littleton is allowed two representatives to the NCC (see mission statement below) and members are expected, as a minimum, to attend and participate in quarterly Council meetings, and encouraged to join one of the committees. Mr. Ernst was on the Transportation Advisory Committee. For further details please contact Joanna Ray (444-3996 Ext. 27).
